Anufrieva Valentina Ivanovna (08.04.1948) – a public figure, the former chairman of the board of Izvatas. A native of the village of Ust-Voya, Vuktyl district. In 1968 she graduated from the Naryan-Mar Pedagogical College, in 1972 – from the Komi Pedagogical Institute. She worked in schools of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, as a pioneer leader in the Brykalansk school, as a secretary of the Izhma district committee of the Komsomol for schools, as an instructor of the Komi Regional Committee of the Komsomol, as an employee of the organizational department of the Council of Ministers of the Komi ASSR. In 1990, she headed the Syktyvkar representative office of the Izhma Komi, which was soon transformed into the Izvatas department. At the 5th congress of the Izvatas in 2003 she was elected the chairman of the council. Thanks to her activities, in many regions where the Izhma Komi live, the structural subdivisions of Izvatas have been created. In the sphere of public activity Anufrieva are the attempts to recognize the Izhma Komi as indigenous small-numbered peoples, preservation of the Komi language and identity, helping the Izvatas in obtaining higher education. Thanks to her, the Year of the Creative Person was established in Izhemsky district. Anufrieva was awarded a medal from the Association of the Peoples of the North “For loyalty to the North”, a badge of distinction “For services to the Komi Republic”, and the title “Honorary Chairman of the Council of Izvatas”. Balin Dmitry Ivanovich (1796-1865) – a Komi peasant, an active participant in the protests of Komi peasants. He was imprisoned many times. Balin played an important role in the unrest of the Izhma peasants in 1836-1838. The source.

Degtyareva Nina Stepanovna (27.10.1943) – a teacher, a trade union, party, and administrative worker, a public figure. A local historian, a tourist, a developer of hiking routes, one of the first mentors of a group of Izhma schoolchildren that took part in a trip to the Subpolar Urals. The chairman of the interregional public movement Izvatas (1993-1996). With the direct and active participation of Degtyareva, the Lud festival was created, the Izhma museum was equipped. Rochev Nikolay Vasilievich (05.12.1962-31.08.2018) – a teacher, an organizer of tourism and local history work, a public figure. Born in the village of Brykalansk. A graduate of the natural-geographical faculty of the Komi State Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a teacher and a headteacher of the Gam school. The deputy of the district council of several convocations. In 2004-2005 he was the deputy chairman of the district council, in 2005-2007 he was the first deputy head of the municipality administration. From 2010 to his death he served as the head of the interregional public movement Izvatas. In 2016-2018, he was the director of the Izhma regional children’s center. The source.

Semyashkin Ivan Afanasevich (23.12.1883-09.02.1947) – a party and public figure. A native of the Krasnobor volost of Pechorsky district of the Arkhangelsk province.
