Anufriev Alexander Zakharovich (12.09.1923-04.05.2002) – a journalist, an editor, a party worker. Born in the village of Mokhcha. He was a correspondent for the newspaper Za novyj sever (For the New North). The head of the department of the newspaper Krasnoye znamya (Red Banner). In 1966-1971 he was the chief editor of the newspaper Krasnoye znamya. In 1974-1986 he was an instructor of the Komi Regional Committee of the CPSU. Valeev Grigory Nikiforovich (Gora Grisha) (1878-1980) – a famous Komi storyteller, the Kolva Yaran. He did not speak either Russian or Nenets. Born in Bolshezemelskaya tundra. He worked as a music worker in the Ust-Izhma school, in the kindergartens of Kelchiyur and Maloye Galovo kindergartens. Rochev Vasily Prokopyevich (28.06.1952) – the People’s Artist of the Komi Republic. Born in the village of Nyashabozh. A graduate of the vocal department of the Syktyvkar Musical College, he sang in the state ensemble Asya kya, in the republican musical theater, worked in the Komi Philharmonic. In 1995 he created his own ensemble Meli shiyas (Favorite melodies). Savenko Olga Nikolaevna (11.09.1956) – a TV journalist, the head of the thematic broadcasting service of the State TV and Radio Company “Komi Gor”. A native of Ust-Lyzha in Pechorsky district.
